Registration for the 2012 Wasatch Back Marathon is open!

The 2012 Wasatch Back Marathon will be held Saturday, June 30th, 2012 in Midway, Utah. We're in our second year and we've made several improvements to make this challenging marathon and relay even better!

Venue: This year the Wasatch Back Marathon will start and finish at the historic Midway Town Square in the center of Midway, Utah.

Course: The course is almost 80% on dirt roads and trails! It includes a challenging climb up to the mountain range west of Midway, a gentle downhill all the way to Deer Creek Reservoir and back to Midway.

Time: The marathon and relay begins at 6:00am. The course closes at noon.

Relay: Three-person relay teams enter in male, female, and co-ed divisions. Leg 1 is 5.3 miles, with a 1319 foot elevation gain. Leg 2 is 11.5 miles with an 1819 foot elevation gain and then a 2779 foot elevation drop. Leg 3 is 9.4 miles with a 181 foot elevation gain.

Entry Fees:

Marathon:

$50 until through March 31st, 2012

$60 April 1st through May 31st, 2012

$80 June 1st through June 23rd, 2012

3-Person Team Relay:

$150 until through March 31st, 2012

$180 April 1st through May 31st, 2012

$240 June 1st through June 23rd, 2012

The Entry Fee is not refundable.

*Shuttles will transport relay runners to and from relay exchange points.

Congratulations to the finishers of the 1st Wasatch Back Marathon!

The first Wasatch Back Marathon & Team Relay was held under perfect weather conditions on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Soldier Hollow in Midway, Utah. You should have been there.

The Co-ed Relay race was won by the Beer-Mates in 3:38:21. The Men's Relay was won by the Frogleys in a time of 3:50:57. The popular Women's Relay division was won by Sole Flyin in 3:52:23.

Congratulations to the winners and to every participant for a safe, fun, difficult, exhilarating, and awesome effort!
